You can use another person’s work provided you give full credit to them, both in the body of your paper and in the bibliography. The way this is done depends on whether you are quoting them verbatim or paraphrasing what they’ve said. Just follow whatever guidelines you’ve been given. At my university we’ve had to buy a book which tells us how to give proper citations and we are severely penalized if we don’t follow the rules. If you don’t give credit, then that’s plagiarism. The other point is that you have to give your own ideas and opinions and use the work of credible experts in the area to support your position.
Whatever you do, follow the directions to keep the markers happy.
